Extremes

"Extremes" is a collaboration between British-Norwegian producer and DJ Alan Walker and Trevor Daniel.

Released on September 30, 2022, along with an official music video and as part of the "Walkerverse Pt. II" album, "Extremes" serves as the first single from the album, offering a renewed glimpse into the immersive world of the Walkerverse.
Immersed in vibrant electronic sounds and reflective lyrics, the song takes listeners on an emotional journey. The sounds masterfully composed by Alan Walker perfectly match the deep reflection on love and uncertainty.

The video for the song was shot in Armenia at the ROT-54 astronomical complex and in the capital, showing the breathtaking landscapes of Armenia. The visual extravaganza emphasizes the intensity of the listeners' experience, adding a new dimension to the song's message.

meaning

The lyrics of this song seem to tell the story of a person who has difficulty maintaining emotional stability and is prone to extreme behavior. It expresses the inner conflict between the desire for love and honesty and the tendency to lie and avoid commitment.

The lines "What if I told you I loved you? What if I told you I lied?" suggest inner dilemma and conflict between feelings of honesty and love and lying and deception. The person singing this song seems unsure of his feelings and unable to express them clearly.

The refrain "I'm always runnin' on the wire, I'm terrified of peace and quiet" reflects a fear of stability and peace. The person seems addicted to the adrenaline and excitement that accompanies extreme situations.

The lines "I fall in love in the middle of the riot" may suggest that this person experiences love in the most chaotic and difficult situations, which may reflect his own insecurity and fear of intimacy.

Overall, the text seems to describe a person who has difficulty with emotional balance and stability, who may be prone to extreme behavior and avoidance of feelings that can lead to commitment and intimacy.

music video

The video opens dynamically, showing the Walkerverse logo and a message addressed to #94200 from #0. We then move to a series of shots, showing Walker #94200 and a wall of monitors with Walker ID on it, displaying the song title.

The scenes take us to the opening astronomical observatory where #94200 is located, and we also see #0 standing in his hideout and #99800 in the Armenian capital.

Tension rises when #94200 and #99800 meet, breaking into the building. In the next scene, #0 is shown in an isolated space, with other Walkers approaching him. #0 hands #99800 a pendant Immediately afterwards, we get drone shots showing the walkers riding in Alan's buggy.

At the end of the video, we see shots of ROT-54 and the Walkers activating the radio telescope and portal, bringing the viewer to the unusual conclusion of this fascinating journey.

locations

All shots were shot in Armenia i.a. ROT-54 and on the mountain-steppe landscape (possibly the area around Aragac volcano or Orgov village)
