paradise

"Paradise" is a song by Alan Walker, K-391 (the artistic name of Kenneth Nilsen) and Boy in Space (the artistic name of Robin Lundbäck).

The track is accompanied by an official video and features as the next chapter in the "World of Walker", the story that has been ongoing in previous Alan Walker videos, particularly the music video "Faded". Despite the music video heavily resembling that of "Faded"'s, it was confirmed that it does not serve as its sequel, but rather serves as an expansion behind the 2015 music video's story, meaning that both videos occur at the same time.

A separate official live version was released as a music video under the title "Paradise (Live Performance)".

It was in World Of Walker album release through MER and Sony Music in 2021 as a collaboration with mobile game PUBG Mobile (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds).
"Paradise" is used in the game's lobby and vehicle and also features in a release of unique game items of PUBG, a battle royale game on Android and iOS.

The song comes exactly two years after PUBG Mobile used the track "Live Fast (PUBGM)" by Alan Walker and rapper A$AP Rocky as an official anthem of a commercial release of theirs.

live version

The song received its own rousing live version, as did the release of Alone Pt. II. Complementing this performance are tracks titled Prelude and Postlude, enhancing the immersive experience for listeners.

The Live version is also accompanied by a music video, which, according to fan theory, would precede the main events depicted in Paradise and Faded. (It should be noted that the canonical status of the music video in the universe remains unconfirmed.)

The narrative takes place in a unique setting, initially depicting the singer in a "tunnel", monitoring the software (presumably an RX-8 drone) of the Red Nexus, suggesting a dangerous environment, possibly enemy territory. The monitor shows the moment Walker #0 arrives with his car.

The scene shifts to the surface, where Alan and K-391 are already engaged in their musical performance. Soon Lily surreptitiously approaches their location, (and her actions suggest awareness of Alan and his comrades, especially evident when she looks at K-391).

Subsequent shots show Red Nexus soldiers with flares entering the walls. Lily's reaction depicts a mixture of surprise, fear and annoyance at their presence, prompting her to flee. Grabbing Alan's car, she flees, leaving him and the others behind, while the soldiers follow her at a deliberate pace.

The action of both the official video and the live version takes place in 2025 some time before Eleanor's Solar Storm

music video

A music video was made for the video, which, as the creators themselves said, is not a continuation of Faded but an extension of the story. Therefore, in Paradise we find three types of scenes: those from Faded, those in which the story takes place before Faded, and those that happen after Faded.

So let's start chronologically.

The scenes you see below happen before the main story that you knew from Faded.
Here we see the moment (FBI Open Up!) when a group of Walkers hang out in the building we know from Faded. Lily aka #28300 is trying to paint the house leaving clues/messages to Alan and the rest of the Walkers.

It's worth focusing on the two Walkers dressed in white and sitting on the floor. And yes, it's a recreated scene from Tired (admittedly, the same actors aren't there, but it's that moment)

In the end, all Walkers end up in Red Nexus prison and the house is burned down.

Paradise begins with scenes you know well from Faded, but some of them have been expanded for additional story depth. And so we learn about the Mission of Yordan aka #22, whose task is to find #28300 who is in prison. When he finds the girl, she, risking her life, hands him the photo we've already seen in Faded but we learn that on the other side of it were clues to the Walkers. An alarm is sounded in the prison and all the soldiers, along with drones, move to capture Yordan, who manages to escape.

And so we seamlessly transition to the scenes that took place when #22 entered the abandoned building, which turns out to have housed the Walkers' secret hideout, where Yordan met with #0. The Walkers there were investigating AVI-8 drones, prophecy disks and possibly planning the infrastucture of the Walker Cities

Immediately afterwards, #0 and #22 go to the location from the photo and we get an expansion of the final scene from Faded, where we see both Walkers against the backdrop of a lighted house

modern walkers era

timeline

Notes:

- As indicated in the timeline, there are several instances where the videos are shown multiple times. This is due to the various flashbacks depicted in them. For example, in "Paradise," scenes depict Lily painting a house, among other things.

- The entire timeline revolves around clips that took place between 2013 and 2025 (what we call the Modern Walkers Era)

- It is worth noting that the "Paradise Live Performance" does not necessarily conform to canon. This is only a speculative theory and has not been officially confirmed.

- Alone on the timeline is placed first, but its placement in time is not very important (and is only speculation)

- Also, the placement of Heading Home, Live At Chateu and Alone Pt. II may differ
