"Alone" is a song by Norwegian record producer and DJ Alan Walker. Incorporating uncredited vocals provided by Swedish singer Noonie Bao, it was released commercially for digital download on 2 December 2016. Two sequels to the song were released: "Alone, Pt. II" (2019) and "Better Off (Alone, Pt. III)" (2023). The song garnered critical acclaim upon release.

In a press release on 2 December, Walker stated: "For me, Alone is about cohesion. A song that praises the feeling and comfort of solidarity. When I started making music it was never about to be any [particular], but about creating something for others who could enjoy it with me. What I have experienced by making music and sharing it with [others] are stunning

Briefly about MV

The music video for "Alone" was posted on Walker's YouTube channel on December 2, 2016. As of 2024, it has more than 1.3 billion views.

The music video deals with themes of loneliness, but quickly evolves into what appears to be a group effort by the Walkers to get together.

Most of the video was shot in Norway, focusing on Walker's hometown of Bergen, and included panoramic shots of nearby tourist attractions such as Ulriken and Trolltunga in Odda. Some parts were also shot in famous locations in Europe, including Berlin, London and Paris.

In conjunction with the release of his third official single, he shot a music video on Ulriken Mountain in mid-October. To do so, he sought out and used more than 100 Bergen residents for oversized roles in the production, which was made by Swedish production company Bror Bror

The video for this version of the song shows us the moment just before the action of the main video. In it, we see numerous Walkers join the Modern Walker Network and prepare for the #walkersjoin action, during which they are all expected to meet in Bergen.

As the video's storyline unfolds, we watch as individual members of the Walkers community come from different corners of the world to join forces. Each character, wearing a distinctive black hooded sweatshirt and face mask, symbolizes the diversity and global reach of the movement. These scenes show not only their determination and readiness for action, but also the unity and common goals that unite them.

Mutual support and cooperation are evident at every turn, highlighting the strength of a community that is not afraid to face adversity.

The video culminates when all Walkers arrive at the designated location in Bergen and meet #0, a symbolic meeting to unite all members of the movement and begin the next phase of their mission. The image is powerful and inspiring, showing that even in the face of enormous challenges, unity and determination can lead to great achievements.

The event can be likened to the moment from Diamond Heart where all Walkers, after a global catastrophe, gather in one place and together create the first Walker city.
